The “Pacific Coast Mustang Association” (PCMA) is a small non-profit club of Mustang enthusiasts based in and around Nanaimo, BC.  The club was founded in February 2004 by Sam Bailey, Richard Johnston, Richard Hornquist, Carolyn Stuart and John McNeil to share their hobby and love of the classic mustang.

The PCMA participates in local shows and cruise nights.  We also enjoy get together events including BBQ’s, pot lucks, Ladies and/or Men's Days, Christmas dinners and more. 

Mustang ownership is not essential, but the love and enthusiasm of the car is!  Our members cars range in years from 1964½ to present and models from Coupes, LX’s, Cobra’s, Fastbacks, Convertibles, Mach1’s, Shelby GT’s, through to Bullitts & California Specials.

The PCMA generally meets on the last Tuesday of each month (except December) at 7pm.  We start showing up as early as 6pm if you would like to join us for dinner before/during the meeting.  Our meetings allow members to socialize with fellow enthusiasts, discuss upcoming events, share valuable tips (restoration, maintenance, safety etc.) and take care of club business.

Please note, occasionally, we will combine a meeting with a social such as a BBQ, so please check under our "Home" and/or "Calendar" tab for any updates and/or changes.

Meetings are open to all members and potential members who would like to come out and see what the PCMA is all about.  So come on out and enjoy what the PCMA has to offer.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sam Bailey

Sadly, one of our founders, Sam Bailey, passed away in April of 2012.  Sam was qualified as a heavy duty mechanic, automotive mechanic and welder and held an instructor's diploma from UBC.  Among other positions he held, he taught HD mechanics at Vancouver Island University (VIU) until he retired in 2001.  Following retirement from teaching, he established Centerline Appraisals and was a sought after evaluator of collector cars.  Sam was well known for his passion for mid-sixty Mustangs. 

In tribute to Sam, a bursary was set up at VIU in his name.  Our club is honoured to contribute to the "Sam Bailey Memorial Trades Award".
